Grand River Trip in August 2009
To research an upcoming exhibition at the Kitchener/Waterloo Gallery, part of the Grand River Chronicles, I canoed the Grand River with Gordon Hicks. Here are some photos of the seven day trip.
Day One - Had a rather exciting moment when we came up on a wier in Fergus that wasn’t marked. Gord managed to get us off the river but we lost time with the long portage and had to stop in Fergus. Ended up staying in the hotel, not what we expected for the first night.
